Hi, I’m Marie — the photographer behind Ally and B Photography.

As a mom myself, I know how fleeting these moments are. One day you’re rocking a newborn at 2 a.m., and suddenly you’re watching them head off to school. My goal is to freeze those moments for you—beautifully, naturally, and with heart.

I’m truly honored you’re here! At Ally and B Photography, I create heartfelt, timeless images that celebrate your family exactly as you are. My approach is all about real moments, genuine connection, and the little interactions you’ll want to remember forever. From newborn snuggles to joyful family laughter, I’m passionate about crafting beautiful art you and your loved ones will treasure for generations. I’m so glad you’re here and can’t wait to partner with you to capture your story.

How it all began

Photography wasn’t part of my original plan. It found me during a season of life filled with change, motherhood, and unexpected challenges.

After stepping away from teaching to stay home with my children, I rediscovered my love for art and creativity. What began as drawing and selling artwork eventually evolved into photography—after I was asked to photograph my brother-in-law and sister-in-law during an incredibly emotional time for their family.

Those photos reminded me just how powerful images can be.
They hold stories. They preserve love. They matter.

With guidance from my dad—who spent his career in the printing and photography world—I learned the technical side of photography and launched Ally & B Photography in 2016, named after my two children, Brandon and Alexandra (Ally).

A few fun facts about me

  • Coffee and chocolate are non-negotiable ☕🍫

  • I’m a Type-A planner with a messy-artist heart

  • I hate being cold (Illinois winters are not my friend)

  • I love live music and cozy hoodies

  • My favorite food is mashed potatoes (yes, really)

  • I hold a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education

  • In 2025, I achieved a lifelong goal when I self-published my debut novel, The Summer We Kissed at Blackbird
